HSA Update

Dear Parents,

What an amazing opportunity I have had these last three years serving on the the Home and School Association board, and especially this last year as President. It has been a true pleasure and privilege to work with the parents, staff and students of St. Joseph School. We are truly blessed to be part of such a special school community!

This has been an absolutely record-breaking year in terms of fund-raising, and that is because of the countless hours of volunteerism, and more than generous donations of time, talent and treasure from all of you. I can not thank you enough.

While I would never be able to thank the MANY people by name who did so much to make this year such a success without running out of room and/or forgetting someone important, I do want to take this opportunity to especially recognize and thank the two other board members who are completing their terms this year: Megan Kimmel and Nancy Roselli. Both of these individuals have spent countless hours making our school a better place, through their HSA board service, but in so many other ways too. Certain special people are a treasure and a blessing, and both Megan and Nancy fall into this category!

While we had a great year all-around, I do want to recognize just a few highlights:

Our FIRST ANNUAL WALK-A-THON in the Fall raised more than expected, and the SmartBoards are scheduled for installation this summer! The spirit of the school community that day was absolutely unparalleled!

New chairpersons for both of our major events of the year, NIGHT AT THE RACES and SPRING FAIR did an amazing job right out of the gate...both were more successful than ever -- a true accomplishment!

Our first ever PASTA DINNER AND ART SHOW provided a fun, free family night out and showcased the amazing artistic talent of our students

Of course, we enjoyed all of our favorite returning events too, like Family Bingo and Chick-fil-A Nights. Again, I can not thank you enough for your support of ALL of the HSA-sponsored events throughout the year!

Deb Watson officially begins her term as the Home and School President now. You will hear from her this summer regarding the other new board members for next year and all that is already being planned for another great school year!

I wish to thank Monsignor Lynn and Father Kean, Sister Catherine and Sister Rita, Mrs. Fitzgerald, and the faculty and staff for their dedication and service. I also want to (again!) thank you, the parents of St. Joseph School, for your continual support and goodness. So many of you have personally called, e-mailed, and stopped me to offer encouraging words throughout the year. I appreciate it more that you know! Finally, I wish to thank the students, who make all our efforts worthwhile.

May God bless you and keep you safe over a fun-filled and relaxing summer!
